Meet the Author

Hi. I’m Wendy Ormsby, author of Close Contact: Memoir of a Determined Pandemic Cancer Survivor. I was diagnosed with breast cancer on January 8th, 2020. Less than eight weeks later the first cases of Covid-19 were reported in our immediate area. I had to find a good oncology team quickly because nobody knew how fast my cancer would spread or Covid-19. My story talks about the setbacks, successes, support, and determination it took to get me through my cancer endeavor at the start of the pandemic. I sincerely hope you will benefit from reading my story, as a patient or a loved one, no matter where you are in your cancer endeavor.
